Do I need Salesforce?

Yes. This dashboard is specifically built for Salesforce.

If you're using HubSpot, Pipedrive, or another CRM, this won't work. The pre-built templates are designed around Salesforce's data structure.

Why Salesforce-only? Because trying to support every CRM means building everything custom every time. That's how you get 6-month projects for $150K. I'd rather deploy proven templates in 4 weeks for $12K.

Do I need Power BI licenses?

Yes, but you probably already have them.

If you have Microsoft 365, you likely have Power BI Pro licenses included ($10/user/month if you need to add them).

You need:

  • 1 license for me (temporary, during the 4-week build)
  • 1 license per person who needs dashboard access (typically 5-10 people: sales leadership, VPs, managers)

Most manufacturing companies already have these licenses and aren't using them. We're just activating what you're already paying for.

What if my Salesforce data is messy?

Every Salesforce instance is "messy" to some degree. Here's how we handle it:

Week 1 discovery call: I audit your data quality. If there are issues (missing amounts, inconsistent stages, poor activity logging), I'll tell you exactly what needs to be cleaned up.

Minor issues: We work around them or fix them during the build.

Major issues: I'll tell you upfront if your data isn't ready. Better to know in Week 1 than discover it in Week 3.

The good news: Most manufacturing companies using Salesforce have "good enough" data quality for this dashboard to provide massive value immediately.

How often does the dashboard refresh?

Default: 3 times per day (morning, noon, evening)

Configurable: You can increase to 8 refreshes per day with Power BI Pro, or unlimited with Power BI Premium.

Most manufacturing sales leaders find 3x daily is more than sufficient. Your Salesforce data isn't changing minute-by-minute, so real-time updates aren't necessary.

Can I customize the dashboard after delivery?

Yes, you own it completely.

You can:

You cannot:

  • Change the underlying data model without breaking things

What if I need help after the 60-day support period?

Most clients email me 2-3 times in the first 90 days, then rarely after that. Once your team knows how to use it, it just works.

Can my reps see their own performance only (row-level security)?

Not in the base package.

The default setup: Everyone who has access sees everything (all reps, all deals, all metrics).

If you want row-level security (reps see only their data, managers see their team's data), that's a $600-900 add-on (4-6 hours at $150/hour).

Most manufacturing sales leaders don't bother with this. They give dashboard access to leadership and managers only, not to individual reps.

What happens if I cancel Salesforce or switch CRMs?

The dashboard stops working. It's built specifically for Salesforce.

If you switch to HubSpot or another CRM, you'd need a completely new dashboard built for that platform. That's outside the scope of this offer.

But let's be real: If you're a $10-100M manufacturing company using Salesforce, you're not switching CRMs anytime soon. That's a 6-12 month project nobody wants to do.

Do you offer training for my team?

Yes, 90 minutes of training is included in Week 4.

I typically run 1-2 training sessions:

If you need additional training beyond that, it's $150/hour.

Can you integrate other data sources (ERP, marketing, finance)?

Not in the base package.

The base $12K package connects to Salesforce only. That's how I deliver in 4 weeks.

If you want additional data sources:

  • Marketing automation (HubSpot, Marketo): 10-15 hours = $1,500-2,250
  • ERP system (for product/inventory data): 8-12 hours = $1,200-1,800

What if my sales process doesn't match your template?

The template is flexible.

Salesforce is highly configurable, so every company's sales stages are slightly different. During Week 1 discovery, I map your specific stages to the dashboard.

Your stages are: Prospecting → Qualification → Proposal → Negotiation → Closed Won/Lost

My template shows: Stage 1 → Stage 2 → Stage 3 → Stage 4 → Closed

I just relabel the template to match your process. The logic stays the same.

If your process is wildly unique (10+ stages, non-linear progression, multiple sales motions), we'll discuss during discovery whether the template fits.

Do you offer ongoing retainer/support?

Not as a standard offering, but we can discuss it.

Most clients don't need ongoing support. The dashboard just runs. Once it's set up, it requires almost zero maintenance.

If you want a monthly retainer for:

What if I don't have quota data?

The dashboard still works, you just won't see:

You can add quota data later by providing an Excel file in my template format. It takes 10 minutes to import.

Can I see a demo before committing?

Yes, but with sample data, not your data.

I can show you the template dashboard with dummy manufacturing sales data. You'll see exactly what the 3 pages look like and how everything works.

I don't do live demos with your actual Salesforce data until we're under contract. Why? Because connecting to your Salesforce, importing your data, and building a meaningful demo takes 8-10 hours. That's half the project.
